a productive kind of busy...

This weekend was extremely busy, and I feel like I need a day to recover from my weekend... However, I got some crafting done too! I've had these 2 frames next to some wedding pictures that have been hanging empty for about a year. Part of the reasoning is because I need to finish editing our wedding pictures and I have just been too busy. The other reason is because I wasn't sure I wanted all pictures. So, after obsessing over Pinterest for a few months, I decided on what I wanted to put in the frames. I used my Cricut to cut out hearts, and make "heart art". I like the way they look, and am excited to no longer have empty frames!

This one says "Today, I married my best friend... 5/30/09"
It's hung below the other one.

This heart picture is just hearts cut with my Cricut and one is
a different shade for "1 true love"- as cheesy as that sounds!

Finally, as I mentioned before, I am making a gift for Christmas. But, with the scraps of paper used to cut the letters for the months, I made month tags (as posted in a previous post). Well, on Friday, Hubby and I went out and bought a frame to finalize my dry-erase calendar. I got it done, hung it up on the door, and then Hubby knocked it down and the glass shattered. So, as I was in Carlisle for a training retreat, Hubby went out and bought another. Today, I laminated the calendar part, assembled the frame and contents, and wrote all the dates in for October. I am really loving my Cricut- I can't wait to use it to make bulletin boards also!

And voila- a dry erase calendar. Yet another way to eliminate waste- as little as a calendar uses, but still a step in the right direction.

Soon to follow- some notecards that I made on Friday with my Cricut.
