Planning

I am a planner. And being a planner, this week has me a little stressed out. As some of you know, I got a job as a long term substitute. I wasn't supposed to start until next week, but babies being unpredictable, the teacher texted me early yesterday morning to let me know she had the baby. I was mentally ready, I had my clothes picked out, lunch packed, bag packed, and phone ready incase I got the text. I did not however, have lesson plans ready because I didn't know when the teacher was going to go out and I needed to pick up where she left off. (this would have been the scenario when ever the baby decided to come out!)

But- no plans= a stressed me. I feel like I am trying to catch up, when in reality, I am right on schedule. However, because I always like to be ahead, being on-time is like being late to me. When I began student teaching, this is what I was told: To be early is to be on time, to be on time is to be late and to be late is unacceptable. That's my motto- through and through. It is, however, all perception.

I am looking forward to staying late tomorrow to get ahead for next week so this nonsense can end!

Fun Friday!
