Arts Festival

So I haven't been posting very lately because I have been crafting and creating like crazy to get ready for the Arts and Environmental Festival at the local YMCA that I work at. Originally, I was going to try to do a canning demonstration and have a canning table to showcase that as a possible class for the Arts and Humanities Program. But, the more I thought about it, the more doubts I had. The festival was located outside, so there was not a stove to use. I researched and found that I could use hot plates, but I would have had to buy 2 of them. Also, since most canning has simple syrup as a liquid, or lots of sugar for the jelly, I was hesitant because of attracting bugs. Needless to say, I opted for a crafting table. I focused mainly on paper crafting, and what would be done with paper. I showcased some of these things on the table, as well as some other creative projects around the house like my etching, reusable calendar, my heart art, etc. Finally, at the table, there was a card making station for the kids at the festival to draw them in. I had ink ready, and the kids made lots of fingerprint cards, mostly for father's day or birthdays. A great time was had by all! I don't want to go into too much detail because later posts will focus on individual projects. Enjoy the pictures!
