Wedding Bells

Hi all- I hope you had a wonderful Thanksgiving filled with great laughs, amazing food, and cherished moments with family. The day before Thanksgiving- I came down with an awful stomach bug/flu thing so I was out for the count. Thank God that Hubby is so wonderful. He prepped the remaining dishes and took care of me so that I was able to enjoy Thanksgiving feeling much more like myself.

A few weeks ago, I posted a sneak peak at some things I was making- either for wedding gifts, Christmas gifts, or other requests. I am here to share today the final post about the wedding gift that I made.

At the beginning of the month, Hubby and I went to a friend's wedding. In fact, it was the same friend that I helped make the jam favors with. PS- the jam favors were a huge hit! Anyway, I wanted to gift them a homemade gift that they would use. I thought about customized mugs that are floating around on Pinterest. For whatever reason, I chose to go another route. On Pinterest, I saw this tutorial on how to make Anthropologie inspired glasses. I bought some glasses, some glass paint, and I tried it out on sample glasses. I originally used a tiny paint brush, but when it was complete, the paint was pointy and I didn't like the effect. I began experimenting with different tools to get a flush paint finish. My final choice of tool- a Q-tip with the fluff removed. I then followed the baking and finishing directions and voila! Anthro-inspired glasses. I hope they like them!
