Activity Advent Calendar

Just a quick post- while I prep for family to come over for NYE. Hubby and I, as I think I mentioned in a previous post- started a new tradition for us this year. We did an advent calendar- of activities leading up until Christmas. This year, it was lamely written on a piece of paper because I didn't have enough time to make one I liked prior to Christmas. Well, Christmas is over, so I have the time. I made it for next year, and every year after that. It was quite simple to make and I love the result.

Supplies:
2'x2' plywood
1 yard of fabric
2'x2' batting

1 pkg. of (4) 1'x1' cork board

I layered the fabric, batting, cork board, and plywood. I stapled, using my staple gun, the layers to the back of the plywood. Then, I cut out the numbers and the coordinating activity cards and thumbtacked them into place- so that they can be moved from year to year.

It's not finished yet- I want to add some Christmas details to it- maybe some ribbon. But- I have a whole year to do it. For now, I have a great start for next year!
