Snow Adventures

This past weekend, I traveled with the same group that I went birding with. We went up to the Frost Valley YMCA in the Catskills (Claryville, NY). This was the second time I have been up there- I went with them in the fall as well. We had a blast. It was definitely cold, but worth it, and I am very thankful for someone letting me borrow snow pants, and for me having enough sense to go out and buy some good long-johns. We got there Friday night, had all day Saturday and part of the day on Sunday to do all kinds of activities. Some of them included a Sugar Maple Hike, building snow forts, walking on cable bridges and low ropes, birding, and of course, snow tubing. I can't tell you how exhausted I was when I got home yesterday, but it was definitely a great trip. Below are just a few pictures of the awesome scenery we saw all weekend- I took like 250 pictures!  I wish we had snow like that around here- the past two winters have been a bit of a bust in terms of snow!

Today is my catch-up day. I am making yogurt, doing some Frost Valley laundry, making bread, and other things around the house.

Happy Monday to All!
