Big News!

I have been intending to write this post for over 3 months. But, things kept coming up and it kept getting pushed off.

Hubby and I are expecting our first baby! We could not be more delighted and super excited at this time in our lives! We found out at the beginning of February. We told our parents on Valentine's day and haven't looked back. I survived by first trimester without a single episode of morning sickness. In fact, the only real symptom that put me down for the count was fatigue. I can't believe and am constantly amazed at how such a tiny little life can take so much from me. Seriously- Baby was the size of a lentil and I could barely keep my eyes open. I felt like a walking zombie. Now, my book says baby is the size of a bell pepper. I will be 18 weeks tomorrow!

At this point, I am pretty sure I have started to feel baby move around. It feels like butterfly flutters - it's really amazing and I am very often consciously trying to feel for them. We have started a registry but once we find out if Baby is a boy or girl, I hope to finish that up. We will be finding out on Memorial Day- as long as Baby cooperates :-)

In preparation for Baby, I have started a list of projects that I want to complete. One of the big items is the nursery, as well as some things I want to knit and sew for Baby. I have also been reading about how helpful it is to stock up on household items before Baby arrives so you aren't having to run to the store for them. Things like toilet paper, dish soap, napkins, etc- I am looking for deals on all of them and have already started to stock up. Most people stock up on diapers, but we plan on cloth diapering so I'm not worried about stocking up on those.

What were some things that you did to stock up for baby?
