Nursery Reveal

Well, Baby H has been here 5 weeks, (already!) and I figure it's about time I do my nursery reveal post. I had meant to do this post before she was born, but oops, I never got around to it! Since Baby H has arrived, she has been sleeping in our room, in a pack-n-play bassinet setup. At our 1 month appointment for Baby H, the Dr. suggested that we start having her sleep in her crib to avoid any problems later. The Dr. told us that she encourages that from Day 1. Being a new mom, or me being emotional or just loving being a mom, my heart sinks thinking about having to put her in another room, especially at night time. I know it's for the best, and I know the reasoning behind it, but it still makes me sad. I feel like she is growing so fast already, and this is just another one of those "milestones" that reiterates that she is growing like a weed.

Hubby and I talked about it, and we decided to start with putting her in her crib for nap times, but at night time, still keeping her in our room. This way we ease into her sleeping alone, and she gets the benefit of becoming familiar with sleeping in a new environment. So far, so good. She actually has been napping better in her crib than she did in the pack-n-play we have downstairs. I thinks that's because the dogs are not able to disturb her. We put her cloud b- Gentle Giraffe on, close the door, shut the curtains, and down she goes (after nursing)- anywhere from 1-2.5 hours, usually twice a day, sometimes 3 times. But I digress.

Here is where I talk about the closet remodel. (The frames above the closet are empty at the moment- I need to get photos printed!)

Here is where I talk about the two framed prints, here is where I talk about the pillow

Here is where I talk about my $42 glider!

I didn't do a post on this, but I made this "catchall". I couldn't find a basket with the dimensions that I needed so I
sewed this one with thick interfacing inside. Next time, I will use craft mesh because that would have been a bit more sturdy.

  1. Love the pillow best! I really wanted to take off my doors in the boys' bedroom closet but I got vetoed. I like how easy access yours is.

    1. Yeah, we have the bifolds still in the basement. I just figured that the curtain would be quieter, and I feel like it opens the room up a little bit- it's a pretty small room.

  2. Oh my gosh. I am so in love with this! It's so colorful without looking like pink threw up all over the room! Great job!

    1. Thanks! I am not a huge pink girl- I like a specific shade of it, but it's not my favorite. Purple is more my thing, hopefully it will be hers too!

  3. I love how you organized her closet!

    1. Thanks- I tend to be a bit OCD when it comes to organization...at least where I can be!
