#Naptime Pursuits: Holiday Recovery

The holiday's are just about over- except for New Year's (which isn't a holiday that we really do anything for). The last few days have been spent trying to recover from Christmas. In the past, we would head to New Jersey early on Christmas morning, have breakfast and do gifts with my parents, head to the in-laws for lunch and gifts, then head to my Aunt's for dinner and gifts. We typically then had to return to my in-laws to pick up the dogs, or my parent's house to pick up the dogs, depending on where we left them. It easily turned into a 15+ hour day. This year, we decided to do something different. We had brunch for the grandparents, then went to my Aunt's for dinner since we have Baby Girl. We had to make a quick stop at the in-laws because they weren't able to make brunch. It was a much shorter day for us, but it still wore us out.

We have been trying to take it easy- napping when Baby Girl naps, and being bumps on the log. Yesterday, I had 2 Dr's apps, which for whatever reason, wore me out. It also doesn't help that I am now addicted to "Blue Bloods" so when I "go to bed", I stay up watching it on my iPad and am up way later than I want or plan to be. Oh, and Baby Girl changed up her napping on me. Lately, she has been sleeping for 10-12 hours at night, taking about a 2 hour nap in the morning, and then staying awake all afternoon with just a few catnaps of about 30-45 minutes.

Anyway, long story short, I don't have too much for #Naptime Pursuits today....except that today my goal is to clean off counters, laundry to wash, floors to vacuum/mop/sweep, and put stuff away.

Have you been more productive than me?

  1. Right now, I have teens, so I don't get nap time pursuits. I just opt to take a nap!

  2. I haven't been much more productive, but that's okay. A new year starts soon. I've enjoyed reading your blog this past year and looking forward to reading it in 2015!
