#Naptime Pursuits: Baptism Invitations

Baby Girl's baptism is a little less than 1 month away. I went back and forth deciding on if I needed to send invitations out- I've never done this before so I don't know what the proper etiquette is. I settled on the decision to send out invitations if I found some premade ones somewhere. I went to Hallmark to look for invitations to fill out (we currently do not have a printer- it broke- so a printer invitation was out of the question, or so I thought) but all I found were printer invitations and very plain boy versions. I quickly nixed that idea and decided to make my own using my Cricut.

I very quickly whipped up a trifold card and a sleeve to keep the invitation closed. I used the color scheme of purple and white (white for the purity of baptism, and purple b/c I am pretty anti-pink for the most part). I designed them one night while watching a movie, cut them out one day during the morning nap (1.5 hours) and assembled them during her second nap. I will say that the inside of the invitation (not shown) was typed up and Hubby printed them out for me.

I only had to make 10 of them, so it wasn't too laborious. I probably wouldn't have opted for this route had I needed to make a lot more. Either way, I am happy with it and I think it provides just the right amount of personal touches for a baptism.

  1. Those are beautiful! I love the idea of making your own.

  2. That is so sweet! I would make them to if I was only doing 10.

    1. Yeah, I'm thankful it's not a big extravaganza for us- it's a nice quiet affair- otherwise I probably wouldn't have made them either :-)
